A collaborative effort with my father Wayne Montgomery and an awful lot of fun researching. Who knew ‘jumping the candlestick’ was actually a popular parlor game in the 1700’s (Jack be Nimble…)? Or that early contractors routinely buried people under bridge foundations to appease the river gods (London Bridges falling down…).
